The purpose of the MiraCosta Spotlight Circle is to create awareness, stimulate community involvement, and raise funds in support of the MiraCosta College Theatre Department. Over the years, the Spotlight Circle has purchased extra equipment and supplies, and has provided support services and volunteer manpower to help bring the best of affordable, quality theatrical productions to our North County community. The majority of donations made to the MiraCosta Spotlight Circle go toward funding our Merit Awards - financial awards given twice each year to deserving and dedicated drama students to reward them for their ongoing commitment and the sacrifices they make in their pursuit of excellence in their performing arts education. In the spring of 2011, we partnered with the Osher Foundation to establish a $25,000 endowment fund, which will provide additional scholarship opportunities in perpetuity to be awarded to selected theatre students annually. It is only through the support of generous contributors through our fundraisers and direct donations that any of this work is possible.

Spotlight Circle is a part of the MiraCosta College Foundation (a 501-c-3 organization) and therefore donations are tax deductible.
Spotlight Circle membership levels are:
Supporting Role ($25 to $99)
Your name will be listed in the show programs and you will receive one free ticket and complimentary refreshments at one regular season show.
Leading Role ($100 to $249)
Your name will be listed in the show programs and you will receive two free tickets to one regular season show and complimentary refreshments at all season productions.
Celebrity ($250 to $499)
Your name will be listed in the show programs and you will receive six free tickets to the regular season show(s) of your choice and complimentary refreshments at all season productions.
Star ($500 to $999)
Your name will be listed in the show programs and you will receive two season tickets and complimentary refreshments at all season productions.
Assistant Director ($1,000 to $4,999)
Your name will be listed in the show programs, you will receive four season tickets, complimentary refreshments at all season productions, plus your name will be displayed in the lobby during the season.
At the recommendation of some of our patrons who are interested in doing even more for the Spotlight Circle, we have created some new Supporting Patron level giving opportunities. If you choose to contribute at these levels, you will receive all of the Assistant Director benefits, plus a special welcome on opening night, plus a complimentary meal with Theatre Faculty, plus the Spotlight Board will contact you personally to discuss options for creative, customized, and meaningful ways to recognize your generosity.
Director ($5,000 to $9,999) - Named as a Primary Benefactor of a Dramatic production
Producer ($10,000 to $24,999) - Named as a Primary Benefactor of a Musical production
Executive Producer ($25,00 or more) - Named as a Primary Benefactor of the FULL SEASON of shows
